Tyler & Bianca

10.10.2026 • Phoenix, AZ, United States

Tyler and Bianca’s story is one that, in hindsight, feels less like coincidence and more inevitable.

Even in high school, the overlap was already there. Bianca was friends with many of the same people who would later become Tyler’s close group at CU, while Tyler had Regis connections that would later become close with Bianca.

By college, the degrees of separation were shrinking quickly. They grew up just a short drive apart, Tyler in Parker and Bianca in Arvada, moving through the same places and circles for years without ever quite meeting. At CU, they first came about as close to meeting as two people can without officially doing so. First, they lived in the same dorm complex. Then, the same apartment complex. There, Tyler regularly held the door open for people getting off the Buff Bus, including Bianca, without realizing it. Bianca made a few attempts to get on his radar, including inviting him to hang out. Tyler, in what can only be described as a now-questionable decision, declined. Eventually, their friend groups merged and they became good friends, but the exact “first meeting” is, at this point, lost to history.

After school, they eventually reconnected. Bianca actually hired Tyler to provide legal advice to her company at the time.

From there, things gradually clicked into place.

Their relationship included a few stints of long distance between Denver and Phoenix, which eventually turned into splitting time between both. Now they live together across the two cities, heading back to Denver for the summer and spending the rest of the year exploring the Valley with their dog Piper and the mysterious Grinchie.

Along the way, they have aligned on most of the important things: they are CU fans, Avalanche fans, and Formula 1 fans. Baseball, though, remains a point of friendly tension, with Tyler backing the Dodgers and Bianca proudly holding the line for the Yankees It’s one of their favorite sports to watch together. Tyler loves the energy of the ballpark, while Bianca’s enthusiasm is fueled just as much by the bratwurst as the game itself.

Their engagement was very on-brand. On Halloween (their favorite holiday apart from Christmas), Tyler presented Bianca with what appeared to be a ring pop, fitting given that both of them had previously said they never wanted to get married. When Bianca opened it, it turned out to be the real thing. As if the timing needed anything else, Tyler’s Dodgers won the World Series the very next day, capping off a strong 48-hour run.

After years of near-misses and overlapping paths, Tyler and Bianca ended up exactly where they were always meant to be.
